Buying a fresh set of fins can be a little confusing. The size, rake, template and material all have a bearing on how you and your board ultimately perform together. The truth is, there’s no right or wrong answer, it all comes down to the feel you’re after. So, our friends at Magic Seaweed enlisted UK champion, Sam Lamiroy, to test and describe 4 different FCS II fin templates in an attempt to demystify the selection process.

*Note: Sam tested the following fins: Reactor, Performer, Julian Wilson (Carver Family) and Mick Fanning (Carver Family).
